Sue’s journey in to law started straight from school as a legal secretary before going on to qualify as a Legal Executive in 1995 where her remit included crime and family work. She joined Sharp and Partners in November 2004 before they went on to merge with Rothera Dowson to form Rothera Sharp in 2016. Sue, who is based at our Long Eaton branch, is a member of our Family team and carries out a variety of matters for the department.
Accredited by Resolution as a specialist family lawyer with Advanced Financial Provision 1 and Children Law Private, Sue regularly deals with a variety of matters including children matters, financial matters, divorce and co-habitation agreements.
Sue works within the guidelines of Resolution and prefers a conciliatory approach to resolving matters that is in the best interests of both the parties, in particular where children are involved, preventing court proceedings where possible.
Sue shows a great deal of empathy to clients as well as a friendly approach; much of her client base is made up of long-standing clients who use Sue for their legal matters time and again.
