Alethea Lucas

Paralegal

Alethea Lucas is a Paralegal in the Motoring and Transport department at Rothera Sharp and is based at our Lace Market office.

As part of the Transport Department, Alethea has supported the team in a variety of different situations including handling new enquiries and giving initial legal advice, assisting with the preparation of court cases and liaising with courts and clients on a daily basis. After working as a tutor through her university degrees, Alethea is very adept at putting clients at ease and talking them through the various stages of legal process, from the initial legal advice to their court appearance.

Outside of work, Alethea has a variety of interests. She enjoys reading, cooking, embroidery, restoring and refreshing old furniture and studying cyber-espionage within the realms of International Law.

Qualifications & Experience

Alethea graduated from her undergraduate law degree in 2016 from the University of Sheffield and, in 2018, she graduated with a distinction in her Master of Laws degree in International Law and Global Justice, also from the University of Sheffield; the latter of which was funded by a full scholarship. She particularly enjoyed studying criminal law, and the theories behind the development of such laws, on both a national and international level. Alethea joined the firm in October 2017.

Testimonials

  • "Thank you for your professionalism and your commitment to helping me in my situation. From when I called asking for help, you Alethea explained the situation. You reassured me and put me at ease. Sophie, you have been organised and first class and were able to put a brilliant case in explaining my circumstances. Both of you clearly want to give the best service and I appreciate your input. You took time to understand my situation and offer good advice based on your experience. You said I was in good hands with your colleague Anton, and I totally agree. Once again, thank you, Alethea and Sophie."
