Rothera Sharp finalists for Marketing Campaign of the Year at Chamber Business Awards

Rothera Sharp is delighted to be a finalist for the Marketing Campaign of the Year at the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards 2017.

The awards, which took place on Friday 15th September at Colwick Hall celebrate and showcase business successes that have taken place within the East Midlands over the past year.

The firm put itself forward for the award after undergoing a successful merger in June 2016 when Rothera Dowson amalgamated with Sharp Young and Pearce. The merger required a complete rebranding of all marketing materials and the creation of a new firm website within a timeframe of three months, with 80 per cent of the work being executed in-house by the marketing team.

The campaign not only created the opportunity to overhaul the firm’s branding but has also provided the scope to promote Rothera Sharp’s ambitious plans for growth and progression in Nottingham. It has also aided us in strengthening our commercial services offering whilst continuing to establish long-standing relationships with clients, which we are well recognised for.

After submitting an application for the award in May, the firm’s Head of Marketing and Business Development Jo Walchester attended the Chamber’s Presidents Summer Celebration on 29th June where finalists for the awards were announced. A ten minute pitch was then presented in front of a judging panel on July 21st before we attended the awards ceremony on 15th September.

Other organisations nominated for the Marketing Campaign of the Year award were Equation, a charity which delivers education to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence and creative and marketing agency The Dairy. The ceremony also included categories for Outstanding Growth, Commitment to People Development and Business of the Year.

We had a great night at the awards, and are honoured to have been selected as finalists in our category, especially amongst such strong competition. It was an accolade to be celebrating the successes of so many local businesses.
