A number of businesses across Nottingham donned their thinking caps and tested their brains to the max for the Trent Bridge Community Trust Fundraising Quiz on Thursday 3rd August, which was supported by Rothera Sharp.
Over 20 teams consisting of attendees from Your HR Lawyer, George Square Financial, Mazars, WREN, Yorkshire Bank, Santander, Jo Co Learning & Development, Duncan & Toplis Accountants, Riverfall Financial and Trent Bridge were tested on topics ranging from film and music, Nottingham, sport and general knowledge at the quiz, held in the Derek Randall suite at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.
The quiz was held in aid of Trent Bridge Community Trust, a charitable arm of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, with the event raising over £1100 for the organisation. The trust helps disadvantaged people in Nottingham through schemes such as Forget Me Notts, which supports those suffering with dementia and their carers, using sport and physical activity as a vehicle.
The prize for the winning team, The World Famous Sneinton Academy of Health and Beauty, was a meal for four and complimentary cocktails, courtesy of Revolucion de Cuba, and tickets for the Notts Outlaws vs. Durham Jets cricket match on Saturday 5th August at Trent Bridge. Congratulations also go to quiz teams George Square Financial and Cheeky Mondays, who came second and third place respectively. Raffle prizes included two tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at the Theatre Royal, two tickets for the Broadway cinema, afternoon tea for two at The Larder on Goosegate and a signed Notts T20 shirt. There was also the chance to win a bottle of champagne as part of a business card draw.
Rothera Sharp would like to thank everyone who attended, Corporate Financial Solutions for supporting the event, and all the companies above for the generous prizes they donated for the quiz prizes and raffle.
